What had we done..
- By this time we had changed our site to be content management driven, which meant trained members of staff could add and look after their own information to the site.
- We also purchased online forms software so we could create consultations very quickly.
- Our education website was closed down, and any relevant information was transferred to our main site.
Highlights of the site:
- Unique visitors - 8,000 per month
- Home page - 28,000 hits
- Jobs - 2,500 hits
New Services Launched:
- Street Doctor - allows people to report their highways faults online
Downsides:
- Limited Content – out of date information & contact details
- Poor design/layout – inconsistent site
- Poor navigation – followed internal structure, hard to find information
- Limited metadata / poor search engine
- Other than jobs – no reason to visit the site!!
