Transformation Fund
To ensure that quality services are provided for children, a suitably qualified workforce is essential. The government's response to the Children's Workforce Strategy consultation was to generate the Transformation Fund as part of the reform of the early years workforce.
The fund will provide a total of £250 million from April 2006 to April 2008. The funding will support practitioners' training towards graduate level qualifications such as the Early Years Foundation Degree, and the new Early Years Professional Status.
