How do I join a Credit Union?

Who can join a Credit Union?

People who join a Credit Union must belong to what is called a "Common Bond". This could be that you reside in a specified area, or you work for a particular employer or that you are a member of a club or association.

There are Credit Unions in Corby, Kettering, Northampton and Wellingborough. The common bond for the above areas are 'you must live or work within the borough' to be eligible to join.

We are currently working very hard to develop a Northamptonshire common bond, this would mean that everyone in Northamptonshire will have access to the low cost savings and loan facility scheme.

Credit Unions welcome everybody from within the Common Bond regardless of income, employment status or age.

How do you join a Credit Union?

Simply download the membership form below and send it to the address on the back of the form, remembering to include two forms of identification (one of these must include your current address details). Or alternatively you can phone the Credit Union Helpline - 0845 456 1312 and we will arrange for a representative of the Credit Union office to assist you.
