Active Ageing Network (AAN)

The New Active Ageing Network is currently made up of more than 100 older people from all over Northamptonshire. It's opening meeting was held at the Venton Centre in Northampton in December.

It will work as a voice for older people in the county, taking part in consultations and planning around issues, which affect older people - from road safety to leisure and learning opportunities to social care.

The Active Ageing Steering Group met for the first time in January 2007. They have elected a Chairperson, Sylvia Smith and Vice Chair Peter Brewer.
