Thematic Partnerships are the 16 areas in which the county council invest in the voluntary and community sectors to provide quality services. Each theme is now managed directly by a lead officer partner who provides support, expertise, information and possible access to other resources. Someone who can monitor progress and constraints and then inform the Community Funding Advisory Panel of the strategic needs in that area of work, to enable organisations and groups to sustain and continue to grow in an ever changing economy.
The partnerships will meet at least three times a year. This will encourage more joined-up working between the county council and organisations sharing a particular theme.
