If you are not happy with the way the County Council has treated you and want to complain about it, you may feel you need someone to help you. Perhaps you have a disability; or you feel you can't speak good English; or there is something else that puts you off making your complaint.
Your complaint is important to us. We want to make sure you are able to tell us about it. So, if you want, we will get somebody we call an "Advocate" to help you.
What is an advocate?
An advocate is someone who will help you express your wishes and views to professionals on a wide range of issues. An advocate may help to:
- Safeguard people who are in situations where they are vulnerable
- Speak up for and with people who are not being heard, helping them to express their views and make their own decisions and contributions
Your Advocate will:
- get to know you and learn about your complaint
- help you to write to us or phone us
- go with you to meetings to make sure your views are heard
- make sure you get what is yours by right
If you would like an Advocate to help you make your complaint, or for further information please use the contact details on the right.
