New structures are in place to enable older people to directly meet with Government Ministers.
The UK Older People's Advisory Group (OPAG) performs this role and comprises representatives of Regional OPAG's. In turn, Regional OPAGs are comprised of three representatives from each county area.
Northamptonshire has two representatives on the East Midlands OPAG. These are Harry Graham and John Wevill.
All three are active in older people's issues in Northamptonshire and hold positions on the Northamptonshire OPAG. Via a voting system at regional level, Harry Graham has been elected to represent the East Midlands on the UK-OPAG.
