Applying for a Secondary School Place in Northamptonshire

If you live in Northamptonshire and your child :

• is currently in Year 6 in Primary School and due to transfer to Secondary School in September 2008 or
• is currently in Year 8 in Middle School and due to transfer to Prince William Upper School in September 2008

The closing date for applications was 2nd November 2007.

The online service for Secondary / Upper school applications is now closed. To make an application after the deadline you will need to complete a paper preference form. Spare forms are available from your child's primary school or from the Admissions Team. Please see the section on Late Applications.

Offer letters will be posted from the Admissions Team on Monday 3rd March 2008. Your letter from the council is the only official notification of the allocation of a secondary school place.

If your child currently attends a Northamptonshire Primary School you should have received a copy of the “Applying for a Secondary School Place in Northamptonshire 2008/2009 Information for Parents” booklet. Please bear in mind that many secondary schools require you to fill in a separate form as well as the County Council preference form, if you have listed them amongst your preferences.
