Before you enter the initial registration process, please take the time to read the notes below:
- You will need an email address to register with NQT Online.
- When you enter NQT online you will be directed to an initial registration page where you will need to complete personal details as well as basic information.
- All mandatory fields [marked with an *] must be completed in order to progress to the full application process.
- Important - make a note of the email address and password that you choose because these are used as your Username and Password to log onto the NQT site.
- You will then be required to complete our confidential Equal Opportunities monitoring form.

Once you have completed the registration section you will be sent an email confirming your user ID and password.
The email will supply the link for you to be able to go back into your application and complete your educational qualifications, employment details, teaching experience, referees names and additional supporting statements.
When you have completed your application it is important that you set the status to 'Finished' so that your application is on the Live site and the schools can view your application and be able to contact you.
If, at any time, you wish to update or amend your application, you will need to set the status back to 'in preparation' and make the amendments, then set the status back to 'Finished'
If a school wishes to interview you they will contact you directly, this Local Authority does not interview you as a part of your application to the Newly Qualified Teacher pool.
