Personal Education Plans

Every looked after child should have a current personal education plan (PEP). The child's social worker is responsible for setting up the PEP meeting but the school will be an important contributor to the meeting along with the parent/carer. The child's views should also be sought.

From the white Paper published in June 2007, the Government introduced an annual Personal Education Allowance.

There is a separate form for each school year, containing the

    1. Personal Education Plan Form
    2. Personal Education Allowance Application Form

Download the relevant form for each year below and they have been revised recently to make them easier to use and slightly more tailored to each particular age.

If you need to know more about PEPs ask your social worker or contact a member of the Life Chances Team on tel: 01536 533930 or 01604 677728.
