Things to do
- Enjoy the scenery – panoramic views over Pitsford Water or close–ups of the park's wildlife in our wheel chair accessible bird hide.
- Indulge your senses in our Sensory Garden.
- Enjoy a picnic lunch in the meadows or a BBQ in our special BBQ area.
- Find out more about the park, the wildlife and surroundings or buy a
souvenir of your visit from our Visitor Centre.
- Play a game of French Boules (Boules hire from the Visitor Centre).
- Pedal your way around Pitsford Water (bike hire available - ((01604) 881777).
- Join in one of the many events held at the park.
- Have a light lunch, snack, ice cream or drink in the Willow Tree café -(01604) 889343.
- Discover our unusual sculptures – can you find the 'Poetry Circle'
- Follow one of the park's three easy-access circular trails (electric buggies and wheelchairs can be hired from the Visitor Centre).
- Stay in the Mackintosh Centre – fully accessible self-catering accommodation for groups.
- Stride out to the Brampton Valley Way, the nearby 14 mile linear cycle and walking route.

Northamptonshire County Council manages Brixworth Country Park for the benefit of both its wildlife and its human visitors. The Countryside Rangers and our many volunteers are constantly striving to develop and enhance facilities at the park. There is still much to do to provide countryside accessible amenities for all.

The Mackintosh Centre
Stay in the accessible countryside surroundings of Brixworth Country Park.
The Mackintosh Centre offers self-catering residential accommodation for groups of people of all abilities and from all communities.

Pitsford water trail
Walkers and cyclists can enjoy a 7½ mile (12km) circuit of Pitsford Water. Allow 2-4 hours walking and 1-2 hours cycling (depending on ability). Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times on the Pitsford Water Trail. Cyclists are requested to respect other users of the Pitsford Water Trail - watch your speed, give way to walkers and warn of your approach.
