Brampton Valley Way

Sunday 12th October 10:30am to 12:00 noon Fungal Foray Join the Ranger on a walk along the Brampton Valley Way and learn about these fascinating natural wonders. Booking essential. £3 adults, £1.50 children. 
Sunday 30th November 1:00pm to 2:00pm Ramble with the Ranger Get fit with the Ranger and discover the Brampton Valley Way on this brisk autumn walk. Booking essential. £3 adults, £1.50 children.

Brixworth Country Park

Sunday 5th October 10:30am to 12:00 noon Fungal Foray Join the Ranger on a walk through Brixworth Country Park and learn about these fascinating natural wonders. Booking essential. £3 adults, £1.50 children.
Sunday 26th October 1:00pm to 4:00pm Feed the Birds Construct a bird feeder with the Ranger to encourage wild birds to your garden. £2 per feeder.
Saturday 25th to Friday 31st October 10:00am to 3:00pm daily Brixworth Bat Trail A batty self led trail around the park. Find all the answers and collect your prize. £2 per trail sheet available from the Country Park shop. 
Sunday 9th November 9:30am to 4:30pm Hedgelaying Course Learn how to lay a hedge in a traditional Midland style in the beautiful surroundings of Brixworth Country Park. Booking and pre payment essential £35 per person.
Sunday 23rd November 1:00pm to 3:00pm Reservoir Ramble Discover Pitsford Reservoir on this brisk autumn walk with the Ranger. Booking essential £3 adults, £1.50 children. Meet at the Visitor Centre.

Irchester Country Park

First Saturday of each month 
2:00pm to 4:00pm
Youth Rangers A group for young adults aged 13 upwards interested in getting more involved in their local environment. £2.50 per person includes refreshments. Pre booking essential.

Second Saturday of each month
10:00am to 12:00 noon

Watch Join Wildlife Watch, a group for 8 to 12 year old children who are curious about the natural world and keen to learn more. Contact leader for details on 07747 028831.

Conservation Volunteers Day Make a difference to your local environment by joining the Ranger and other volunteers to take part in our conservation activity of the day.
Fourth Saturday of each month
1:00pm to 4:00pm
Help the Community Tree Nursery The Community Tree Nursery is growing native trees and shrubs from seeds and cuttings collected locally.

Steaming Up The Narrow Gauge Railway Museum, situated in Irchester Country Park, is home to Britain's only metre gauge collection of steam and diesel locomotives, along with various other exhibits. Free admission.
First Wednesday of every month

Nature Tots Join a parents and tots group with a difference for pre school children on the first Wednesday of every month. £2.50 includes refreshments. 
Saturday 4th October 1:00pm to 4:00pm Seed Gathering Day Join the Ranger and other volunteers on a Seed Gathering Walk to gather seeds, nuts and fruits to grow the trees of the future.
Sunday 12th October 10:00am to 4:00pm Autumn Nature Amble Join the Ranger on a guided walk from Irchester Country Park through beautiful local countryside.  Booking essential.  To book a place telephone 01933 276866.
Saturday 25th October to Sunday 2nd November 10:00am to 3:00pm daily Autumn Trail Get some fresh air and learn some frightening facts about nature.  Self-led trail packs available from Irchester Country Park shop £2 per child.
Friday 31st October 6:30pm to 7:30pm Halloween Howler Spooky Lantern Walk

Join us if you dare on a night time lantern walk through the woods.  Watch out for witches, ghosts and ghouls that might make a surprise appearance as you go by.  Bring your own lanterns.  £5 per person in advance. 

Family ticket £15 in advance for up to two adults and two children.  Booking and pre-payment essential as this is a very popular event.  Telephone 01933 276866

Pumpkin Carving, Lantern Painting & Mask Making!

The Ranger will be ready to help you carve a pumpkin, paint a lantern or make a scary animal mask in the Nature Hut every afternoon in the half term!. Everything included.

Various Costs apply. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
