Fermyn Woods Country Park

Winner of the Green Flag Award 2007 A partnership between Forestry Commission and Northamptonshire County Council has created Fermyn Woods Country Park, the county’s largest park. Situated in the heart of the Rockingham Forest, the park offers fantastic woodlands, meadows, thickets, marshes and ponds to explore. Park Information

• Free Admission -  Car park charge of £2.00 applies at all times. 
  Annual car parking tickets available.
• Park and main car park open all day, every day.
• Toilets open 10:00am to 4:00 pm daily (except Christmas Day and New Year's Day).
• Skylark cafe and shop open 10:00am to 4:45 daily except 24th to 26th December and 1st January.
• Hot and cold refreshments (including ice-creams) are available from the Skylark Cafe when open.   Last orders for hot food 3:30pm.
• Circular, waymarked and hard-surfaced trails through woodlands and meadows and streams.
• Children's play and activity areas
• Open spaces for ball games, kite flying and dog walking
• Quiet areas to relax and enjoy the peace or watch the local wildlife
• Wheelchair loan
• Orienteering trails
• Boules courts
• Designated picnic and BBQ areas (bring your own portable BBQs or hire our in-park stand).
• Day ticket coarse fishing available. Tickets from machines close to Visitor Centre.
• Countryside Ranger Service - ranger usually on site 9:00am to 5:00pm daily
