Library Surveys and Consultations

We regularly ask customers about what they do in libraries and what they think about the services. We also consult on other specific matters.

We use the results of surveys and consultations to help us:

• measure how well we are doing
• plan, develop and improve services
• compare how well we are doing with library services in other parts of the country

The biggest national survey we do is the Public Library User Survey (PLUS). There are separate surveys for adults, children and adult computer users done in different years, see pages in this section on the right.
