Visit the Young Bond Website Website of the month for November is the official Young Bond website of author Charlie Higson at: www.youngbond.co.uk 

The best selling books in the series, Silverfin, Blood Fever, Double or Die, Hurricane Gold and the latest By Royal Command recount the early years of spy-to-be James Bond aged 13. This site takes fans of the books a step further into this exciting world, inviting them find out more about the main characters and to join the Danger Society which gives you your own ID card and access to the Danger Society Gazette and Forum.

Michelle Paver's compelling Chronicles of Ancient Darkness series at www.torak.info is set in ancient times the chronicles tell the story of Torak and his brave friends Wolf and Renn as they battle with the evil Soul Eaters.

Known as The Clan this site invites readers to first register to then become part of an online community to discuss and learn more about the books, characters and clans in the stories. There is a flourishing fan fiction area with contributions sent in from all over the world. You can also download regular Clancast podcasts. There are writing competitions and news about Michelle Paver's author appearances as she launches her latest title in the series OathBreaker. Michelle also sends in messages to her fans on this site about what she has been doing and insights into her books and writing.

Christopher Paolini's Inheritance dragon fantasy trilogy website is at www.alagaesia.com. In addition to focusing on the forthcoming new title Brisingr out this month, you can also find out about the other books published in the series, Eragon and Eldest. Enter the realm of Alagaesia the magical world in which the stories take place. There is a newsletter to sign up for with regular updates about author Christopher Paolini, and he also answers questions sent in by readers each month on his Talking Trilogy page. The Activities section has an online fiction game, Eragon quiz and a screensaver to download. You can also discover which character you are most like and try out the audio clips in the Eragon pronunciation guide.

Her most recent books are part of a series called Cinnamon Girl. On her website you can read Cathy's Blog which has all the latest news from the author and find out even more by visiting her frequently asked questions page. Brian Selznick's intriguing Adventures of Hugo Cabret at www.theinventionofhugocabret.com tells the tale of Hugo a young clock keeper and thief living in the walls of a bustling Parisian railway station. He puts his faith in re-building a wind up mechanical toy which he believes holds the key to his happiness. Like the book this site combines elements of graphic novel, picture book and film. You can view a slide show of the drawings from the book's opening sequence. Learn more about ideas and people behind the story including the world of silent film and early film makers and automata. There are links to author interviews and Hugo Cabret sites in Italian and Spanish. Whilst the Taiwanese website includes an amazing animation featuring the drawings of the book's illustrator Remy Charlip.

You can delve into illustrated profiles about some of the amazing creatures that inhabit this world including  Banderbears, Rotsuckers and Hover Worms. J.K Rowling's excellent official website at www.jkrowling.com has been created to look like a busy and cluttered writer's desk full of interactive links for Harry Potter fans to explore. There are news, rumours, character and cut scene details and hints about all the Harry Potter books including the  final title Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. The author diary and very detailed frequently asked questions pages make fascinating reading and show what a unique relationship JK Rowling has with her readers. You can also discover which character from the series may be celebrating a birthday...
