Ways to Live Forever by Sally Nicholls has won the Waterstone's Children's Book Prize. This award focuses on emergent authors who have had up to three books published. The other shortlisted titles were:

Blue Peter Book Awards 2007

The Outlaw Varjak Paw by SF Said with illustrations by Dave McKean has won the overall Blue Peter Book of the Year Award 2007. Nine child judges, from around the UK, chose the winners of the three categories. Other books and category winners were:
