Residents parking permit schemes are introduced when we receive several concerns from residents and businesses within a certain area concerning parking problems.
Once these concerns are identified a detailed study into the feasibility of parking schemes is carried out. Consultation is undertaken on the proposals and all feedback is taken into consideration before implementation of the schemes.
In conjunction with other Borough and District councils, we aim to consult with the public concerning future requirements for further residential parking schemes that will coincide with the local Transport Plan.
