Elgin is the East Midlands Partnership Regional e-government spatial system which provides data on possible delays throughout the East Midlands.
How does it work?
- It displays road opening information provided by the utility companies to the relevant highway authority
- Data is then extracted from the relevant highway authority streetworks systems and combined with streetworks data from all highway authorities across the East Midlands
- The information can be accessed by map and by text

NB: In order to use Elgin you will need an SVG (Scaleable Vector Graphics) reader on your machine. You may already have one if not the system will direct you to the Adobe website for a free download.
