- Access to your personal records
You have a general right of access to your personal records under the Data Protection Act 1998, however there are some exceptions concerning what you can see.
- Alternative providers of care

We have a number of day centres for people with disabilities and for elderly people. These are only available following an assessment.

All enquiries regarding adult social care should be made through the Adult Care Team unless you have a care manager and their contact details.
- How we assess whether adults need our help
Before we can arrange services for you, you will need to have an assessment.
- Lifeline service
Northampton Borough Council operate a community alarm service, known as the 'Lifeline Service'.
- Out of hours support
We know that not all unexpected major problems happen during normal office hours or can wait until the next day. The Out of Hours team is there to help with these emergencies.

- Safeguarding vulnerable adults
A vulnerable adult is a person aged 18 years or over who may be unable to take care of themselves, or protect themselves from harm or from being exploited.
