The Scheme is open to anyone who receives one of the following benefits, and has at least 12 months' award length remaining when they apply:

  • War Pensioners' Mobility Supplement.

Around two-thirds of participants in the scheme drive, but non-drivers can get a car as a passenger. Similarly, parents and carers can also apply on behalf of a child.
