The Beat the Banana event organised by Northamptonshire County Council in aid of World Cancer Research Fund was a huge success.

Over 80 children took part in the race at Northampton Town Football Club, raising well over £4000 for the charity. |
All the children enjoyed the warm up provided by Jez Brodie and the race was officially started by Jagger and Woody |

Every child was given a yellow 'Beat the Banana' t-shirt to wear whilst competing in the race and they all received a medal and a goody bag for taking part.
Look out for the event next year! |
A big thank you to all the children that have taken part and to all the parents for encouraging the children to take part. |
