What Support is Provided?

  • An allowance to cover the cost of caring for a child/young person

  • A fee which recognises the different level of skills a foster carer has gained

  • The opportunity to gain a national qualification - NVQ Level 3

  • Provision of local support through support groups and a designated Social Worker

  • Access to a wide range of training and development opportunities

  • Session workers to enable particular activities and act as additional support

  • An annual awards recognition ceremony to thank our foster carers for their hard work and valued contribution

  • A Virtual School to assist with schooling of children and young people not in regular attendance at school

  • A strong link with the Centre for Health who provide training, advice and support on a range of health issues for the child and young person
