What Support is Provided?
- An allowance to cover the cost of caring for a child/young person
- A fee which recognises the different level of skills a foster carer has gained
- The opportunity to gain a national qualification - NVQ Level 3
- Provision of local support through support groups and a designated Social Worker
- Access to a wide range of training and development opportunities
- Session workers to enable particular activities and act as additional support
- An annual awards recognition ceremony to thank our foster carers for their hard work and valued contribution
- A Virtual School to assist with schooling of children and young people not in regular attendance at school
- A strong link with the Centre for Health who provide training, advice and support on a range of health issues for the child and young person
