Implementation of Common Assessment in Northamptonshire is overseen by a multi agency Steering Group. It is one of the key priorities of the Children & Young People’s Partnership Board which both facilitates and necessitates effective multi agency working.
Countywide implementation is now underway having begun in the autumn of 2006 in Corby and Northampton. Implementation is rolling out in phases centred on clusters of schools and Children’s Centres and involving the local statutory and voluntary sector partners in those areas.
Face to face training is a major part of the implementation of Common Assessment, however, longer term support is also necessary and so the package includes:
- Area based multi agency Panels
To oversee implementation - see what the panels do and who sits on them
- A locally developed version of the standard Common Assessment form
We've improved on the nationally available form and our version is available as for downloading and in Word format for electronic completion
- Online learning
Preparation for the face to face training and as a refresher, if you have a password then please use the link below to access the online training
- A Helpdesk
