The Everdon Activities Centre can offer a wide range of training and courses.
We offer training programmes for adults which lead to National Governing Body Awards. Alternatively we can provided courses suitable for young people which aim to improve their life chances by providing them with specialist skills and knowledge consequently improving their likelihood of success in external examinations and the world of work.

Adult Education
- Ski Course Organiser
An entry level course for School Teachers (or other groups leading children) organising school ski trips.
- Award in Basic Expedition Leadership
A qualification to lead groups in open and unfamiliar countries. A prerequisite for the Bronze Duke of Edinburgh Award expedition supervision.
- Adventurous Activities for KS1 and KS2
A great course for those wishing to be able to deliver outdoor activities to children from preschool onwards.
- An Introduction to Forest Schools
A taster into the delights of the Forest School and how you can deliver sessions within your own site.

Courses for Primary Schools and their pupils
- Specialist Course for More Able Pupils
Teams of children become immersed in researching natural disasters, learn practical survival skills and become members of a training team helping with disaster relief. For a detailed look at the More Able course on offer see our More Able Course page.
- Key Stage 2 - Science Revision
A series of practical experiments which prepare students for KS2 SATs concentrating on investigative skills and processes used in examinations. These have been developed by an experienced teacher and examiner.
Courses for Secondary Schools and their pupils
- Yr6/Yr7 Transition Courses
Allow us to develop a bespoke programme for your Year 6 and 7 transition stage. These programmes help ease children's assimilation into Secondary School and promote new relationships, understanding and team building within the new classes.
- Outdoor Education for Specialist Sports Colleges
Speak to us about our programmes which introduce young people to work practices in the field of learning. We allow young people to develop activity programmes, become involved in risk assessment and gain skills which can be used across all areas of the outdoor leisure industry.
Forest Schools
Through 6 weekly sessions your children will discover and experience the excitement of exploring a woodland environment. Have a go at minibeast hunting, hugging trees, tree art and mud painting, den building, camp fire cooking, and smelly cocktails. Forest School is a great way to improve a range of social and communication skills.

The Team at the Everdon Activities Centre are able to offer a range of group development games and environmental activities based either at the Centre or on your own site.
Wild in the Country!
Everdon Activities Centre can provide a wide range of activities suitable for children and young people. These can be developed around venues in your local area or can involve a visit to the Everdon area. Examples of these activities include;
- Adventure Walks
- Visits to the Local Nature Reserves
- Forest School Sample days
- Visits to historical sites
Transport to and from your chosen venue can be arranged.
