Directions to County Hall from Northampton Railway Station
The train station is 10 minutes walk from County Hall.
- From main entrance, follow pedestrian route up to the main road (Black Lion Hill)
- Turn left and keep straight on, across two roads with pedestrian crossings, into the town centre (Gold Street)
- County Hall is on George Row, just past the historic All Saints Church, on the right hand side
- Reception can be found in Sessions House
Alternatively take one of the frequent buses (nos. 9, 9a, 21, 27, 29 or 30) from the bus stop on Black Lion Hill to the bus station. It is then 5 minutes walk to County Hall (see further instructions below) (total journey 15-20 minutes). Taxis are also available at the train station.
Directions to County Hall from Greyfriars Bus Station
- Exit the Bus Station at the Grosvenor Shopping Centre
- Once in the Grosvenor Shopping Centre descend to the lower level and exit at the Market Square
- Walk straight ahead to the end of the Market Square
- Cross the road onto Wood Hill
- George Row is at the end of Wood Hill
Please note - County Hall has one reception at George Row opposite All Saints Church.

Before trying to access the car park please check with your host that a parking space has been reserved for you.
- The car park is located at the rear of County Hall in Angel Street
- Barriers are in operation
- Contact reception using the control button on the barrier for access into the car park.
Authorised personnel permitted to park in County Hall car park can operate these barriers using their swipe cards.
