You do not need to make an appointment to visit the Record Office - but it is often helpful if you let us know that you intend to come, especially if you want to consult original documents.
You will need to apply for a CARN ticket when you arrive, please ensure that you read the following page and bring suitable identification with you.
Once you have your CARN ticket you will be asked to sign in, we have a number of rules that we ask you to observe whilst you are in the records office.
