The majority of parish registers held at Northamptonshire Record Office are available to purchase on microfiche.
How to order your microfiche
- Have a look at our 'break-down' lists to see how many fiche you need to purchase, and the relevant reference numbers.
- Complete the order and copyright declaration form below and return this, along with your payment, to the Record Office stating the parish reference number, type and date of each register. Please remember to add postage and packing.
- Once the form and payment has been received, your order will be placed.
Please be aware that it will take up to eight weeks to process and complete your order, as they have to be sent away to be completed.
How much does it cost?
Please see our Fees and Charges page for our current charges for copies of microfiche.
Please note that all the fiche that make up an individual register have to be ordered, even if you are not interested in the full period covered by the register.
How good is the quality?
The quality of the microfiche depends upon the quality of the original register. Some of the earlier registers may be difficult to read. Occasionally, pages were missed out during the filming process. Any missing pages can usually be found at the end of the last microfiche in the series.
