Does your child's school provide meals?
There are some schools in Northamptonshire that may be providing hot meals through a private caterer or packed lunches for parents/guardians who qualify for Free School Meals.
Use the following link to check if Nourish provides meals in your child's school.
If your child's school does not have a Nourish service, please contact the school for further information.
There is a three week cycle of various meals which are nutritionally balanced and have been created to meet the standards set by the School Food Trust.
Our meals cost £2 per day and this includes a main meal, bread, pudding and fresh drinking water.
Term Two (Academic Year 2013-2014)
Please take a look below at the menu for November and December 2013. If you are tempted to order a meal, and are unable to order online, the order form is available to download below:
Whilst Nourish will endeavour to provide the menu choice of the day there may be occasions when this will be subject to change.
There will be a Christmas meal available in most schools during December. Your child's school will confirm the date of their Christmas meal.
As the Christmas meal is being served on different days in each school, we are unable to change the menu shown on your ParentPay booking screen. If ordered, your child will be served a Christmas meal on the school's designated day, as no other meal options will be available.
Ordering and paying for meals
Nourish are currently introducing ParentPay online payment and meal booking to schools.
You will be provided with information regarding your ParentPay account in a letter issued by your child's school. Once you have activated your account you will be able to book and pay for your child's school meals online.
In schools where ParentPay is in operation there will be two methods of paying for, and ordering, school meals:
Online ordering and payment via ParentPay
Order and pay online using a credit or debit card
Cash payment via PayPoint
Use a PayPoint card (which can be ordered for you by Nourish) at any of your local PayPoint outlets.
When paying by cash you can order meals online via your ParentPay account or through the completion of the order form below:
You must book meals in line with the school's ordering deadline. Free School Meals can be booked as above.
If your school does not yet operate ParentPay you will receive a menu pack via your child's school. You can pay for meals by cash or cheque (made payable to Northamptonshire County Council). Post dated cheques will not be accepted.
Meal orders can be submitted and paid for once a week, on the same day (at selected schools only), or for as many days or weeks per half term as you choose. Please ask your child's school to find out when the designated order day is.
Orders for the first week of term need to be submitted on the final order day of the previous term.
Paying for meals ordered via menu packs
Please include the correct monies in the envelope provided in your order pack and clearly provide the following information:
- Pupil's name
- Pupil's class
- Value of monies included
- Meal option required: V-Vegetarian, M-Meat, S-Special Diet
Meal credits, refunds and debt
- Generally credits or refunds will not be provided.
- Credits will not be given for meals not taken due to sickness. This is because the meal will have been produced unless cancelled with the school kitchen or via ParentPay.
- Parents are expected to maintain and wind down account credits or balances if a child is leaving a school.
- Requests for refunds will be considered at the end of each academic year where pupils are leaving the school, or the school is leaving Nourish.
- Refund requests for less than £5.00 will not be considered due to high administration costs.
- Any debt which is not cleared will be processed in accordance with Northamptonshire County Council's debt recovery procedures.
- Please note: it will not be possible to order a meal when an account is in debt.
To apply for a meal credit please complete the online meal credit form.
To apply for a refund please email email@example.com using 'Refund for Leaver' as the subject title. Please provide your child's name, school and year group within your email.
Credits for school trips and closures do not need to be applied for; they will be automatically credited to your account.
