  • Fiction, Non-Fiction and Fun!
    9th March 2010. Booth Meadow House
    Using Children's Books and creating libraries effectively to support the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
    Two hour introduction examining how to link books to the EYFS areas of learning and to activity areas within the learning environment. There will be an opportunity to see a selection of books and get advice from LRE's Primary Advisers on how best to use them with children. £45 for subscribing schools £60 for non-subscribing schools.
  • Secondary School Library Toolkit
    2nd March 2010. Booth Meadow House and
    12th May 2010. Booth Meadow House
    Two day course designed for new secondary and middle school librarians and library assistants. The aim is to give an overview and understanding of the role of the school librarian and the knowledge required to effectively run the school library. Through progressing through the course content attendees will also gain key skills and tools to enable professional development. £85/£145 for subscribing schools £100/£170 for non-subscribing schools for one day/both days.

  • Making the Most of Your Space: The Top Design and Refurbishment Ideas That Your Library Needs
    23rd March 2010. Booth Meadow House

Information & Library Services NVQ

  • NVQ Information and Library Services Level 2 & 3
    An NVQ is a nationally recognised qualification that is achieved by a structured assessment plan. NVQs are based on current competence within the job role. LRE are working in partnership with the NCC Vocational Training Centre to offer assessment of this award for school library staff. They can be contacted on 01933 220794.
