Leading Teachers are good or outstanding practitioners of a teaching subject such as Maths or another aspect such as AfL, who have gained accreditation to become one of the Northamptonshire Accredited Leading Professionals (NALPs).
Leading Teachers can model good practice within their own school and provide advice to visiting teachers about pedagogies and subject knowledge, possibly through demonstration lessons and discussions, to improve outcomes for children in the supported school.
Some Leading Teachers also offer training to groups of teachers or outreach support for one to one training with a teacher in their supported school.
