Specialist Leaders are good or outstanding leaders of a subject or whole school aspect, such as an English Subject Leader or Inclusion Leader, who have gained accreditation to become one of the Northamptonshire Accredited Leading Professionals (NALPs).
Specialist Leaders can model good practice within their own school and provide advice to those with similar responsibilities within other schools, 'leading' other Subject Leaders in their developments, to improve outcomes for children.
Many Specialist Leaders offer whole school training and outreach support to mentor or coach other Subject Leaders, to improve practices within their specialist area.
