Whatever method you choose, they all have the same minimum academic requirements.
You must have:
a relevant degree – relevance will be determined by the Initial Teacher Training Provider, this can vary from provider to provider, but will usually require you to demonstrate relevance in relation to a National Curriculum subject.
or study for a degree as part of your initial teacher training
and
GCSE (or equivalent) at Grade C or above in English and Mathematics and
if teaching at Primary level, you will also need GCSE at Grade C or above in a Science subject.
If you do not hold these GCSE qualifications, you could sit an equivalence test.
