Consultation on school admission arrangements in Northamptonshire 2011 / 2012

Consultation Period: 15th December 2009 to 19th February 2010

The documents below relate to our Consultation on Admissions Arrangements for entry in September 2011 for a period of three years to September 2013 inclusive.

The outcome of the consultation on school admission arrangements from this year onwards (in accordance with DCSF regulations) will set arrangements for the next three years, unless there is a significant change i.e. a change to the priority criteria. Therefore, Northamptonshire County Council invites comments to their admissions arrangements. 

  • Item A: contains information on our processes and key dates regarding the coordination process for applications to secondary schools (middle to upper and primary to secondary).
  • Item B: contains information on our processes and key dates regarding the coordination process for applications to primary schools (reception intake, infant to junior and lower to middle).
  • Item C: contains information relating to any proposed changes county wide. This will include proposals to increase and/or decrease published admissions numbers and changes to oversubscription criteria.
  • Item D: contains more detail relating to proposed changes to arrangements in the South Northamptonshire area. A number of primary and secondary schools which may be involved.

The closing date for the consultation is 19th February 2010 (5:00pm).

Admissions Forum Meeting

The Admissions Forum meeting will take place on:

  • Wednesday 10th March 2010, 1.00pm - 5.00pm, at The Guildhall, Northampton.
