Waiting Lists

Community and voluntary controlled schools

The Admissions Team maintain waiting lists for all community and voluntary controlled schools on a yearly basis.

  • Lists are cleared at the end of August each year and parents must contact us, in writing or via email at the beginning of September if they wish to renew their child's name on the list.

  • If a place becomes available at a school with a waiting list, it will be allocated using the published oversubscription criteria for that school.

  • Everyone on the waiting list will be considered along with any new applications being processed at that time which include a preference for the school.

  • If your child is eligible for a place allocated from the waiting list we will contact you. We will also inform the school that your child currently attends, if this is within Northamptonshire.

Foundation, Voluntary Aided, Trust and Academy schools

These schools maintain their own waiting lists. You must contact the schools directly to request information on their waiting list policy and to ask that your child’s name is applied to the waiting list, if they hold one.
