Exercise and fitness courses

Boost you health and fitness with some fun adult learning courses, we will help you to get active and improve your all-round health. The key is to find the right class, and adult learning has a variety of evening and Saturday courses for you that will fit into your busy schedule.

You don’t have to force yourself to go to the gym to boost your fitness levels. Why not try a more enjoyable structured activity such as swimming, fencing or horse-riding, and meet new friends; you’ll have fun keeping fit!

Fencing

Not the type you do in your garden! Fencing is very different from the films you see at the cinema. Rather than dangerously swinging from chandeliers or jumping off balconies, it is a very easy sport to start at any age, so why not try something different!

Tai Chi

Tai Chi is a Chinese martial art and it is accessible to all ages and physical abilities. It can be practised on many levels to improve health and practice defence training. Adult learning classes are available for beginners and those who may be more advanced.

Kayak/ Canoe

Learn how to Kayak and Canoe with an adult learning class at The Nene Centre. Learn the techniques to be safe on the water and you can enjoy the scenery along the way!

Horse Riding

Horse riding is a great alternative method to get fit, especially if you love animals and the outdoors! Not only is horse riding a great way to tone your lower body but the balance and positioning on a saddle is known to improve posture as well.

Our adult learning classes will get you out in the English countryside and learning to love man's new best friend.
