If you don’t know a tulip from a tiarella and are a complete beginner, or you would just like to increase your knowledge and try new designs, we could have the courses just for you. Whether it’s in the evening or on a Saturday you can create arrangements and increase your knowledge of plants and flowers to design and assemble floral displays.
Horticulture
Do you have a patch of weeds or an overgrown garden? Fancy tackling a completely new project? You can learn how to landscape and understand the science of plant cultivation along with the industry with this RHS Certificate in Horticulture course. The course is classroom based and can lead to an accreditation.
Curtain Making and Soft Furnishings
Never able to find curtains or cushions that exactly match your rooms? Why not make your own and maybe save some money in the process! You can learn a variety of styles and techniques in order to make your own curtains and soft furnishings. Both evening and Saturday courses are available.
Traditional Upholstery
If you want to update your old furniture or create a contemporary style we’ve got the course for you, on both evenings and Saturdays. You can learn new ways to restore your old furniture, or just have a go at a new hobby and meet some friends along the way.
Woodwork
Woodwork or wood carving courses can teach you new techniques and help you to improve the knowledge you already have. Why not learn how to build, make or carve something out of wood with our adult learning classes and you could get a low-cost home or garden accessory!
Plumbing
You could learn how to save the cost of a call-out charge by attending our adult learning course in plumbing. Saturday courses are available to help you through the maze of pipes, tubing and washers.
