Getting your message across: media training for business seminar

This FREE seminar guides mumpreneurs, home-businesses, start-ups and more through the process of devising their personalised campaigns, with comprehensive information regarding research, targeting the audience, creating the key message, as well as writing a press release and learning about distribution. Delegates will also appreciate how putting all this together is key to being ‘on message’ during that all important media interview.

A free workshop exploring the subscription resource Cobra containing information about starting and running a business from sector legislation and trading issues to marketing strategy and taking payments, plus much more.

The Ready2Grow project aims to improve the capacity and performance of small and medium sized enterprises and to encourage entrepreneurship across Northamptonshire. It supports enterprises from start up to growth and encourages innovation and the development of new skills, whilst instilling SMEs with the confidence to apply for growth funding.

The project is delivered by the Northamptonshire Growth Hub partners and supported by the European Regional Development Fund.

Business Basics drop-ins

One to one drop-in advice sessions the first and third Monday of the month from 9:30am to 12 noon at Corby Library.

One to one drop-in advice sessions take place every Tuesday from 9:30am to 12 noon at Northampton Central Library and Wellingborough Library.

Speak to advisors for help and information on taking the first steps to self-employment; and take advantage of our offer of free full access to the library service's computer and internet facilities including free printouts.

Drop-in Barclays Digital Eagles sessions on the first and third Friday of the month 12:00pm to 2:00pm at Northampton Central Library for practical and helpful advice on all your online issues.   

Intellectual property: one to one session

Bookable Intellectual Property advice sessions are available on the 1st and 3rd Thursday mornings of the month at Northampton Central Library and on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday afternoons of the month at Wellingborough Library.
