If you want to keep your books for longer and avoid overdue charges you need to renew your books.
Different ways to renew your books
Renew your books online
- Go to the logon page
- Just enter your membership number and PIN and follow the instructions on screen.
In Person
- Pop into any Northamptonshire library and return them in person.
- You don't even have to have your books with you - just bring your library card.
By telephone, email or post
- Remember to include your library card number and the author and title of the books.
- Including the barcode number from inside the book will also help make sure we renew the correct books.
- Please allow sufficient time as items will be renewed from the date the library handles the renewal, not from when you sent it.
Email Reminders
- Register your email address with your library and receive automatic email reminders 3 days before your books are due back.
- Please note overdue notices and information about the library may also be sent to you by email.
How many times can I renew?
- You can renew your books up to twenty (20) times.
- If you want to keep them after this you will need to bring them into a library to be renewed.
- If someone else is waiting for the items, you will not be able to renew them.
What if my books are overdue?
- If your books are already overdue, it is still worth renewing them.
- This will stop the overdue charge increasing to its maximum but this will depend how late the item already is.
