Our Procurement team is now part of LGSS (Local Government Shared Services). The aim of LGSS is to provide all front line, transactional, professional and strategic support and advice (the LGSS Services) both to the Partner Authorities and other interested public sector bodies.
The role of the Procurement team is to provide specialist advice and support to service areas to ensure that the council obtains the best value on all goods, works and services it commissions to external providers.
They also ensure that the council complies with the UK and European legislations in force in England that governs the procurement of these goods, works and services.
The Procurement team comprises three areas:
- Corporate contracts
- Strategic procurement
- Commercial, Policy and Performance
