What is the Countywide Traveller Unit?
The Countywide Traveller Unit (CTU) deals with unauthorised Traveller encampments and other Traveller related issues within Northamptonshire.
Gypsy and Traveller Accommodation
The Government requires all local housing authorities to carry out an accommodation assessment of Gypsies and Travellers residing in or resorting to their area. This is known as a Gypsy and Traveller Accommodation Assessment (GTAA).
A Code for mobile Travellers in Northamptonshire
This code has been drawn up by the Northamptonshire Countywide Traveller Unit Consortium, to deal with managing unauthorised encampments set up by Travellers, in a fair and consistent manner.
