In a recent visitor survey we asked for your views about our archive service. We used your opinions to work out net satisfaction*.
- 100% asked felt our staff were helpful and friendly.
- 98% of people asked were satisfied with the quality and appropriateness of staff’s advice. Of those 88% rated this as very good.
- Net satisfaction with the archive’s overall service is 96%.
*Net satisfaction is calculated as the number of people who rated our service as good or very good less those who rated the service poor or very poor.

We value your views and have taken these into account when making changes to the Record Office:

- You asked us to improve our guides and catalogues.
We now have a series of information leaflets at reception and online that visitors have found helpful. We are currently working on improving our online catalogues and will keep you informed about future changes |

- You asked us to improve the systems for using microfiche readers.
We used your suggestions and a new system is now in place. Feedback from our users is that the microfiche is now much quicker and easier to use. |

- You asked us to improve our opening hours and many people, specifically asked us to extend our Saturday opening hours.
We are now open more regular hours during the week and open every Saturday. You can now order original documents during your visit to the Record Office on Saturdays.

- The staff, on site or by telephone, are always helpful
- Staff have been really pleasant and helpful – so important as a record office can be a daunting place to visit.
- Service provided by frontline staff is excellent. They are all exceptionally helpful, friendly and knowledgeable.
- Initially I was reluctant to use it through uncertainty. Staff very helpful, settled me in rapidly. Consequently I have visited more often that I originally intended.
- I have known the service for over 20 years since it was at Delapre, and have always been impressed with the knowledge and helpfulness of all concerned. It’s an excellent service in my opinion.
