The Northamptonshire Record Office has a paid Research Service for those who are unable to visit us in person, or who do not have the time to do the research themselves.
- We can provide expert advice on taking your research forward.
- If you are pursuing family history, we can help you find details of dates and events, as well as discover where your ancestors lived and what they did.
- We can also assist with enquiries into the history of your house or community.
Research Options
- Free advice before booking on whether the Research Service is appropriate for your research needs
- We can search one original document for up to three names or dates, within a five year period, for a charge of £5.00
- Research into your Northamptonshire family history or your Northamptonshire home for £24.00 per hour. Please be aware that it may take us up to 4 weeks to complete this research.
- Produce a transcript of a document (part or whole), where possible, for £40.00 per hour
