My services, my money!
Schools, roads, recycling, social services, fostering, adoption, trading standards, fire and rescue – these are just a few of the services in your neighbourhood that we provide.
For the fourth year running, our county council tax rate is likely to be the lowest in the country – we are able to achieve this by targeting our resources on areas which matter the most to you.
This year, we will receive £230 million from council tax – every pound you pay will be focused upon things you have told us will help make Northamptonshire an excellent place to live and work.
So how much will I pay?
Your council tax contribution depends upon the property band of your home.
For example, those living in a band D home will pay £993.34 towards county council services.

Your final bill is worked out by adding together the county council charge with the charges from your district or borough council, the police authority and, in some cases, parish councils.
The council tax required to help fund the agreed budget is set out in the leaflet below:
Please note: We do not collect council tax payments. If you wish to make enquiries about paying your council tax please contact your local district or borough authority.
