There are three key pieces of law that provide you with rights to access information we hold:

• Data Protection
  The 1998 Data Protection Act gives you the right to request information about yourself.
  
  
• Environmental Information Regulations
  The Environmental Information Regulations 2004 (EIR) gives you a general right of access to information we hold which concerns environmental matters.
  
  
• Freedom of Information
  The Freedom of Information Act 2000 (FOI) gives you a general right of access to all other information we hold.
