How do I apply to adopt?

  1. Please fill in our online enquiry form or email a&f@northamptonshire.gov.uk and we will send you an information pack.

  2. After you have received the information pack we will contact you to see if you wish to continue.

  3. We will then arrange an initial visit in your home to discuss your personal circumstances and answer any questions you have.

  4. You will then be given an application form and invited to an information evening.

  5. If after the information evening you still wish to proceed we will invite you to preparation training.

  6. At the same time a full assessment will be undertaken before you go to the panel for approval.
