Nominations are now open for the 2010/11 Northamptonshire School Library Award
The Northamptonshire School Library Award was created in recognition that school libraries are central to raising standards and making a difference to pupils' learning.
“We were delighted and very proud to receive the award. The award was a tribute to the hard work and dedication that Mrs Blissett and her team of librarians put into the library”
Headteacher Higham Ferrers Junior, Primary School Library Award Winners 2008/9
“Winning the award was a fantastic feeling, it validated all the hard work we do and highlighted the numerous ways the Library contributes to the school community. I recommend that anybody considering entering does so, even the process of building a portfolio of evidence was hugely beneficial in focusing mine and the SMT's attention on Library development” Amy McKay, Corby Community College Secondary and Middle School Library Award Winners 2008/09.
Schools are invited to submit a portfolio of evidence about their school libraries achievements, using the nomination form and criteria below. The closing date for submissions will be March 1st for Middle and Secondary schools and March 22nd for Primary schools.
