Traffic on our roads has almost doubled in the last 20 years, this is partly due to the fact that the number of children travelling to school by car has doubled. Many of these children live close enough to their school to walk!

When it is considered that traffic on our roads could grow by a third again in the next 20 years, now is the time to take action. This is where the School Travel Plan comes in, to look at sustainable, safe, and healthy options for pupil travel.
