Tackling the causes and effects of climate change is a key outcome of the Northamptonshire Climate change strategy below:
Developed by local authorities and other partners in the county, the strategy has agreed targets around reducing the amount of CO2 emissions per capita in the county and adapting to climate change. To help achieve these targets, the strategy sets out a framework for action by partners to:
- Raise awareness of the issue of Climate Change and its impact on Northamptonshire
- Reduce greenhouse gas emissions across the County
- Plan for and adapt to the predicted impacts of Climate Change
