Northamptonshire County Council funds a number of projects and partners to provide support for local businesses. In addition, a range of other funding and support is also available to businesses in the county.
Growing Places Programme
A £5.8m revolving infrastructure fund designed to kick-start stalled housing and commercial developments and support economic growth, through investing in site infrastructure, land remediation, construction or other activity to get development moving.
HPT Investment Programme
The High Performance Technologies Investment Programme supports business growth and job creation within this priority sector.
We are working with the Government, local partners and telecoms providers to help secure access to superfast broadband to residents and businesses across the county.
It is one of the key priorities laid out in our 10 Point Plan to kickstart Northamptonshire's economy. We are delivering this through the Superfast Northamptonshire project.
RDPE LEADER Programme 2015-2020
This is a European wide rural economic development programme. It is managed locally by Local Action Groups who are overseen by the Rural Payments Agency.
There are two LEADER programmes that operate in Northamptonshire. The North & West Northants Rural Action Partnership covers all rural areas, excluding rural South Northamptonshire which is covered by the Clay Vales Local Action Group. Both Programmes offer grants for projects that fit into the following categories:
- Support for increasing farm productivity
- Support for micro and small enterprises and farm diversification
- Support for rural tourism
- Provision of rural services
- Support for cultural and heritage activity
- Support for increasing forestry productivity

Invest to Grow
The Invest to Grow programme is designed to support private sector businesses to innovate, grow and create jobs. Available to businesses across the East Midlands and managed by the University of Derby, £16m of Regional Growth Fund monies are now available.
