Help the environment and save resources by choosing tap water over bottled water.
Save money and the Environment
Shoppers in the UK spend a whopping £2 billion pounds a year on expensive bottled water. At around a £1 a litre, thirsty Northamptonshire residents are not only taking a substantial hit to the wallet, they are also contributing to increased pressure on limited water resources. The carbon dioxide emitted through the transport of bottled water from overseas also contributes to climate change.
The UK’s thirst for bottled water results in billions of empty bottles going into the bin each year. While a proportion of these bottles will be recycled, many more will end up in landfill.
The good news is that cheap, extremely high quality water is available straight from the tap. At around £1 per 10,000 litres, tap water is available twenty-four hours a day, comes completely unpackaged and is supplied at an extremely affordable cost.
Water companies have to conform to very stringent quality standards so you can be assured that the quality of water you get from the tap is at as least as good as the most popular bottled brands.
